Solan is a beautiful city in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh and the district headquarters of Solan district. Solan is best known as the 'mushroom city of India' because it is the largest producer of mushroom in the country. It's elevation is 1,550 m.
The city gets its name from the Hindu Goddess 'Shoolini Devi', most revered in this area.
The houses above and below the high mountains are very beautiful to look at.
I have never seen such a beautiful train station.
Solan railway station is a UNESCO World Heritage Site (Kalka Railway Company -1903)

People start their work very late in the morning as it is a cold region.
They finish their work early in the evening and go home.
There is a restaurant called Bangalore tiffins.
A week after the trip, the experience of eating idli & dosa there was unforgettable.
Unfortunately, i was not able to explore solan city completely, due to my physical condition.
