All the worship for the 'Kannagi Amma' , the heroine of the true epic story 'Silappathikaram'
This festival is to mark the victory of Amme Bagavathy.
The way they celebrated the festival was shocking and awe-inspiring.
I have never seen a festival like this anywhere.
Bhadrakali Devi here loves the blood,
and she loves Barani Pattu and Vulgar Theri Pattu.
Peoples traditional costumes for this festival, and bloody faces, will filled the entire temple complex, in red.
We need, go to this barani festival, at least once in our lives, to see the arrival of diverse people of Dravidian country and their worship..
