SUPER TAKUMAR 150MM F/4 (1965-1971)
As soon as I saw that scene, I took off my allrounder SMC Takumar 28mm f3.5 lens and pair this 150mm started shooting. It was a little difficult to handle at first.
I had no prior information about this lens before.
While I have so many classic manual focus lenses in my collection, but
this lens tend to have great character, which translate into beautiful images.
It's a typical rendering of portrait lens.
Smooth colours & Medium contrast.
Its rare focal length, before 40 years, 150mm was more expensive than
SMC 135mm & SMC 200mm I think.
Super Takumar 150mm f4 is quite good than
SMC Takumar 135 at f4 and SMC Takumar 200mm f4.
It's minimum focus distance is 6 FT (1.8m) !
However Super Takumar 150mm f4 is a wonderful lens and I love it.
Pentax didn't said anything about this.
But google called this lens as
'THE UNCOMMON FOCAL LENGTH'.
This is not mine !
